The Evidence · 156 essays

Everything here happened on a floor.

Three essays a week since February 2026, each keyed to a cell of the table. Free to read, quote and use. The books assemble the argument; this is where it was tested in public, against the week's news.

Six elements · Six sectors

The table, with the evidence in it.

Down the side, the six elements. Across the top, the six sectors, and the six practitioner books that follow. Deeper cells hold more evidence. Hatched cells hold none yet.

Where the table is thin Construction and hospitality carry a fraction of what manufacturing does, and two cells are still empty. That is not an oversight — it is the work queue, published. If you build, cook, or care for people for a living and something here does not match your floor, that is the most useful thing you could tell us.

By the people in them.

Every argument here came from someone we watched work. None of them appear in any company's records. They appear in ours.

Team leader, trim shop. Filed as a problem employee before anyone met him. Could name the origin of a wiring fault three minutes after you described the symptom.

Read a new hire's hands inside an hour. Took a chronic defect onto himself during a launch and traced it to his own team's tool.

Paint inspection, Alabama. Stopped a panel that had passed every gauge, because of how the light came off it as she turned it.

Jason Blackie

Ten years a team member, carrying a supervisor's work better than most who held the title. A decade of journeyman work and never once allowed to become a journeyman.

Jaime Ray

Marine sharpshooter before he was a team leader. Fifty-five jobs an hour, and he was moving before most people had read the alert — walking a fault back a hundred cars with the line still running.

Kirk Branson

Fifteen years on the line. Written up for the very intelligence nobody had a box to record.

Millwright, Flint. Heard a bearing three shifts before it failed and could not tell you how.

Rebuilt a family's week in ten minutes and never gave her name. Nobody wrote it down. That is the argument.

The open arrowhead

Who in your building is going to leave with forty years of knowledge?
Who in your building is learning from them before they go?

Every essay ends by asking you something, because the cure is not finished and the people who could finish it are the ones who would have to fund it. Tell us where this breaks on your floor. We read everything, and the practitioner books are written out of the answers.

The argument is assembled in Built to Extract and Already Paid For, January 2027, with six practitioner volumes to follow — one for each column of the table above. The essays stay free. Always.
